Working with Groups and Organisations

Since 2010 I have been building relationships with local support groups and organisations. I am proud to now work with a number of these groups, supporting their members with infant massage instructional sessions and holistic therapies, as well as offering my time on a volunteer basis.

Sure Start Children Centres
On behalf of several Children's Centres in the Wirral, I work with parents of all ages and their infants either by delivering Infant & Baby Massage instructional sessions to large groups, or simply pampering a parent whilst their litte one is being cared for in the Centre's creche to help give them a little well deserved 'me time'.

I've also worked with smaller parent groups and chatted about relaxation, relaxation techniques and self massage, all of which can also include pamper time for the parent. I have also attended health promotional days to talk to parents about the benefits of infant and baby massage and holistic therapies.

The Children Centre groups I have worked with are, R Place 2 B, Stepping Stones, Bacon Butty Drop In, Aiming High and baby massage groups in New Brighton, Prenton and Claughton Children Centres.

NCT Wirral
I am so very proud to announce that I have been appointed Branch Co-ordinator for Wirral NCT. This is such an honour, and I am overjoyed and deeply grateful of this wonderful opportunity, and thank everyone involved in the process. I wish to do what I can to help to promote Wirral NCT's services, support, groups and courses to all parents in Wirral. And to help all parents have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches their lives and gives confidence in being a parent.

Maternity Services Liaison Committee Task Group (MSLC) for Wirral
I attend the MSLC Task Group meetings as a volunteer, and to represent the Wirral NCT in order to contribute towards improving local maternity services.

Parent Advisory Board
I have been invited by a local Children's Centre to be a volunteer and sit on their Parent Advisory Board. I have gratefully accepted this wonderful opportunity!

Wirral Mother's Milkbank
In 2010 I co-ran relaxation and pamper evenings  with the support for parents from the Wirral Mother’s Milkbank for parents with children in care at the RMH.

RED ARC (independent care advisory service)
I am delighted to announce that I have established links with RED ARC, a care advisory service who provide information, advice and emotional support to people when they need it most - usually as a result of illness or disability. www.redarc.co.uk

"Kerry has been offering her services free to the parents of sick children being treated at Arrowe Park Hospital. She is available alternate Thursdays in Ronald McDonald House so that worried parents can unwind with relaxation sessions and pamper evenings. They have been a huge success. I met a mum today who returned to visit the hospital staff with her preterm baby, now 6 months old. She commented on the benefit she felt from the sessions during a very stressful 5 weeks when her tiny newborn baby was in neonatal intensive care. It is a unique service and probably the only one of its kind in any hospital setting."
